I brilliant sunrise sky this morning

Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 7:05AM it’s currently 20 degrees under partly cloudy skies (with a lovely sunrise a bit earlier!) Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 94%, dewpoint 18, barometric pressure 29.92” and falling rapidly. We have 1” of snow at the stake. Yesterday’s high was 33, and the overnight low was 15.

Strong low pressure will move out the the Great Lakes and pass through the region tonight into Sunday bringing widespread rainfall and milder temperatures. Rain will taper to snow showers on Sunday afternoon as much colder air surges back into the region behind the departing low along with gusty winds. Things should quiet down from Monday onward into much of next week with mainly dry and seasonably cold weather expected for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We’ll see cloudy skies today with highs around 43F and SSE winds at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight rain is likely. Lows will be around 38F with SSE winds at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain is 90% with rainfall amounts of around a quarter of an inch.
