Good morning! This morning in Huntington at 6:45AM it’s currently a warm and balmy 57 degrees under overcast skies (it’s actually gone down 2 degrees since I filled my coffee cup…) Winds are out of the southwest at 3-7mph. Relative humidity is 74%, dewpoint 49, barometric pressure 29.95″ and rising. 24hr high was 59, low 56.

Current radar imagery shows and interesting picture: a broad front of rain extending from Florida to Québec with warm temps to the east and much cooler temps to the west of the front (29 degrees near Huston, TX!)

A weakening cold front will move slowly eastward today bringing us very mild temperatures and cloudy skies with the chance of showers. We’ll have highs of 57°F (already got ’em!) with winds from the South at 10 mph. Chance of rain is 30%. Tonight should be overcast and mild with lows of 41°F and winds less than 5 mph. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 95%, dewpoint 28, barometric pressure 30.12″ and steady. 24hr high was 36, low 27. It’s hard to say how much snow actually fell yesterday, as it came down pretty continuously during the day. Suffice it to say that we have a very hard and crusty 2.25″ of white stuff on the ground this morning. Elevational differences were pretty marked with reports from around the region range from not much to as much as 12″.
