A rain-dappled day lily in our back garden

Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 6:35AM it’s currently a cool 45 degrees under clear skies. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 99%, dewpoint 44, barometric pressure 30.01″ and rising. We picked up 0.34″ of rain yesterday from several short showers that swung through over the course of the day. Yesterday’s high was 63, and the overnight low was 45.

About Today’s Photo:

Yesterday’s hit-or-miss showers offered plenty of opportunity to catch rain dappled flowers. These day lilies are nearing the end of their run in our back garden and seem to create their own luminance in the flat overcast light.
