Another shot from Dead Creek: skeletal branches in the ice...

Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 6:50AM it’s currently 32 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 88%, dewpoint 28, barometric pressure 30.11″ and rising. We picked up a dusting of snow overnight and have 3.5″ on the ground. 24hr high was 38, low 28.

Forecast:

We’ll see highs in the mid- to upper-30s again today with winds from the South at 5-10 mph. Scattered snow or rain showers are possible off and on during the day. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Thursday should be mostly cloudy in the morning, then overcast with a chance of rain as a more organize system moves in from the west. Highs will be around 45F with light winds. Chance of rain is 40%. Temperatures will drop Thursday night with rain changing over to snow. Lows will be around 32F with winds from the SSE at 5-15 mph. Chance of snow is 80% with accumulations of 1-3″ in valley locations. Some forecasts are calling for significantly higher totals in the mountain (yes please!)

Friday’s looking overcast with a chance of snow and rain in the morning, then partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs will be around 43F with winds from the WNW at 5-10 mph shifting to the SW in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Friday night should be partly cloudy with a chance of snow. Lows will be around 28F with winds from the West at 5-10 mph. Chance of snow is 20%.
