Can someone kindly remind me what these lovely blue flowers are? We've got quite a few of them blooming in our backyard...

Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 6:30AM it’s currently 37 degrees under overcast skies. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 97%, dewpoint 36, barometric pressure 29.52″ and steady. We picked up 0.98″ of rain in the past 24hrs (1.10″ total for the storm). 24hr high was 44, low 37.

Reports of high elevation snow are coming in. Mad River’s saying they picked up 4-6″ at the higher levels of General Stark Mtn. The NWS out of Burlington indicates snow on Mt. Mansfield (but doesn’t give any totals…) More high elevation snow on the way.

Forecast:

If you liked yesterday’s raw’n’rainy weather, we’ve got more where that came from today. The same low pressure system I’ve mentioned over the past couple of days is still stubbornly hanging on over our region. We’ll see overcast skies with rain showers today. Highs will be around 46F with winds from the SW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain is 60%. Tonight will be overcast with a chance of snow and rain. Lows will be around 30F with winds from the SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow is 60% with 2-4″ possible above 2000′.

Wednesday should be overcast with a chance of snow and rain in the morning, then mostly cloudy with a chance of rain. Highs will again be around 48F with winds from the West at 5 to 10 mph shifting to the NNW in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60% . Wednesday night should be overcast with a chance of rain in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a chance of snow and rain. Lows will be around 34F with winds from the NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40% .

Thursday’s looking mostly cloudy with a chance of snow and rain in the morning, then a chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs will be around 48F with winds from the North at 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40% . Thursday night should be mostly cloudy in the evening, then clearing as high pressure finally moves in. Lows will be around 28F with light winds.
