Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 7:20AM it’s currently 60 degrees under low overcast skies. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 97%, dewpoint 59, barometric pressure 29.81” and rising slowly. We picked up 0.31” of rain overnight. Yesterday’s high was 77, and the overnight low was 59.


An upper level low over the eastern Great Lakes will continue to affect our weather through the weekend as it tracks over us tomorrow bringing periods of rain and isolated to scattered thunderstorms today and Sunday. Cooler and drier conditions are expected in the wake of this upper low to start the work week, followed by increasingly hot and humid conditions mid to late next week.

We’ll see cloudy skies today with occasional showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs will only be in the mid 60s with southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain is 80%. Tonight should bring occasional showers with lows in the upper 50s and southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain is 90%.

Sunday showers are likely. Highs will be in the mid 60s with southeast winds around 10 mph in the morning, becoming light and variable. Chance of rain is 70%. Sunday night should be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of lingering showers. Lows will be in the mid 50s with light and variable winds.

High pressure will ridge in for Monday with partly sunny skies, highs in the mid 70s, and light and variable winds. Monday night should be mostly clear with lows in the mid 50s.

This solitary bee was performing a little dance for me as it dusted itself with pollen on this black-eyed Susan. It hung out for a long time allowing me to get quite a few shots. I like this one best.
