Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 8:05AM it’s currently 54 degrees under overcast skies. Winds are out of the north at 3-5 mph. Low pressure sitting over northern Maine and the Canadian Maritimes will spin a strong cold front through the region this morning bringing and unseasonably chilly, cloudy and brisk day with northwest winds gusting to 30 mph, and scattered to numerous afternoon showers. Drier conditions are expected for the following 7 days, with temperatures moderating back to seasonal norms by Tuesday, and well above normal by the weekend.

Tonight should be cloudy with showers likely mainly until midnight. Temperatures will remain near steady in the upper 40s with northwest winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain is 70%.

Monday should be mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers. Highs will be in the lower 60s with northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Monday night should be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of showers. Lows will be in the upper 40s with northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

About Today’s Photo:

Robin & I hiked up the Windsor Trail on Mt. Ascutney on Friday. It was a lovely day for a hike with cool temperatures and partly cloudy skies. There are several species of wildflowers blooming now at higher elevation including these starflowers.
