Three icicles seem to dip their feet in the rushing water of Fargo Brook

Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 6:50AM it’s currently 30 degrees under overcast skies. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 98%, dewpoint 30, barometric pressure 30.30” and rising rapidly. We picked up 0.15” of rain, but no snow on the ground at our elevation. It looks like accumulating snow started at around the 1000’ level. Yesterday’s high was 40, and the overnight low was 27.


An upper level trough and short wave disturbance will cross the region today bringing some mountain snow showers. A large surface and upper level ridge of high pressure will build in over there region later tonight and through the weekend bringing mild and dry weather.

We’ll see cloudy skies today with a 20% chance of rain this afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 30s with southwest winds around 10 mph. Tonight should be mostly cloudy with lows around 30 and west winds around 10 mph.

Saturday should be partly sunny in the morning, then clearing. Highs will be in the mid 40s with light and variable winds. Saturday night should be clear with lows in the upper 20s and light and variable winds.

Sunday’s looking mostly sunny and seasonably mild with highs in the upper 40s and south winds around 10 mph. Sunday night should be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s.
