Thistle getting ready to bloom in our ornamental garden

Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 7:20AM it’s currently 57 degrees under mostly clear skies. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 99%, dewpoint 57, barometric pressure 29.69” and rising. We picked up 0.53” of rain yesterday afternoon. Yesterday’s high was 80, and the overnight low was 52.

An upper level low pressure system centered across Quebec will result in somewhat cooler temperatures through the end of the work week. We’ll see partly sunny skies with patchy fog this morning and a chance of showers mainly this afternoon courtesy of diurnal heating. Highs will be in the mid 70s with northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. These ornamental thistles in our ornamental garden are getting ready to bloom. Once in flower, they are extremely fragrant and attract all sorts of pollinators. No doubt I’ll have another shot of them in bloom sometime soon!
