Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 7:00AM it’s currently 32 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 95%, dewpoint 31, barometric pressure 30.03” and rising. We picked up just a trace of rain in the past 24hrs. Yesterday’s high was 50, and the overnight low was 32.

Forecast:

We’ve got a fairly active weather pattern in the wings today. An upper level low will drop southeast from the western Great Lakes today and then across the Ohio Valley tonight and then will be over the southern Appalachians early Saturday. A surface low pressure area will develop off the middle Atlantic coast late Friday night and on Saturday. This low pressure area will then move slowly northeast and be over the Gulf of Maine by Sunday afternoon. We’ll see cloudy skies today with highs in the mid 40s and light and variable winds. Tonight should be cloudy with a slight chance of rain or snow showers after midnight. Lows will be in the mid 30s with light and variable winds. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday should be cloudy with a slight chance of rain or snow showers in the morning, then a chance of rain showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 40s with north winds around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Saturday night should be cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers. Lows will be in the lower 30s with north winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday’s looking cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers. It’ll be breezy and raw with highs only in the upper 30s and north winds 20 to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Surface high pressure will build in Sunday night brining mostly clear skies with lows in the upper 20s.
