Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 8:04AM it’s currently 28 degrees under overcast skies. Winds are out of the west at 2-4 mph. Relative humidity is 79%, dewpoint 22, barometric pressure 29.96″ and rising. We picked up a 0.5″ dusting of snow overnight and have about 2.5″ of snow on the ground at the stake. 24hr high was 41, low 26.

Forecast:

An upper level low and associated cold front will steer the weather today. We’ll see partly cloudy skies with a chance of snow this morning, then mostly cloudy skies later in the day. Highs will top out on the unseasonable side – around  34°F – with winds from the West at 10-20 mph. Chance of snow is 30%. Tonight will be overcast with snow showers. Lows will be around 18°F with winds from the West at 5-15 mph. Chance of snow is 80% with accumulations up to 4″  possible.

Monday should bring partly cloudy skies with a chance of snow in the morning, then clear skies. Highs will be around 25°F with winds from the South at 5-10 mph shifting to the NW in the afternoon. Chance of snow is 30%. Monday night should bring overcast with a chance of snow after midnight as a low front moves in from the Great Lakes. Lows should be around 12°F with light winds. Chance of snow is 40%.

Tuesday’s looking overcast with a chance of snow. Temperatures will begin to climb through the day with highs around 36°F and light winds. Chance of snow is 50% with light accumulations. Tuesday night should be overcast with a chance of snow in the evening and a chance of rain after midnight. Lows will be an unseasonably warm (can I just say “UW” to save typing?) – around 39°F – with light winds. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
