Morning Observation:

This morning in Huntington at 7:30AM it’s currently 29 degrees under overcast skies. Winds are calm. Relative humidity is 73%, dewpoint 22, barometric pressure 30.30″ and rising. 24hr high was 51, low 29. We have 2.5″ of snow at the stake but our front field is bare…

Forecast:

High pressure will build into the region today. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies this morning, then partly sunny skies later today. Highs will be in the lower 30s with northwest winds around 10 mph this morning, becoming light and variable. Tonight should be partly cloudy until midnight, then become mostly cloudy. Lows will be around 20 with light and variable winds.

Low pressure will skirt to our south Wednesday and bring us cloudy skies with a chance of snow the further south you go. Highs will be in the lower 30s with south winds 10 to 15 mph. Wednesday night should be cloudy with lows around 17 and southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Arctic air and an Alberta Clipper will move into the region on Thursday brining partly sunny skies with a 40% chance of snow showers. Highs will be in the lower 20s with temperatures falling to around 13 by the afternoon. Winds will be from the northwest at around 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Thursday night should be partly cloudy and chilly with lows around zero.
